March 8, 2018 Thursday: EVEN IN MATH CLASS!
And yet… another day of rejoicing! WOW! Sherry and I got summoned to Miss. Jenny’s math class during school today…both of us!!! It was a crazy morning and we were trying to get ready for staff meetings and we just gave each other that look that said What now?? So we walked over to see all the kids working. When we opened the classroom door all the kids looked up with big smiles at us. Miss. Jenny said,“Someone has something to share with you…” That’s when our sweet Fiona spoke – Fiona is new this year. She is a very shy, reserved, and adorable 7th grade girl – she spoke these words
“I got saved today in Math class.” Can’t tell you what those words do to me…straight to the heart they go! But after the hugs, I did have to ask…in Math class??? Still not really sure how that happened in Math class. A couple weeks ago 7th grade Hannah got saved in Spelling class. They were studying the word PRODIGAL and that gave our teacher the open door to share Jesus and grace…that I understand…but Math class? Just proof God can turn all things to good! Just sayn’.
PRAYER POINT: As we face the spiritual battles and roadblocks against the completion of Phase 3, we ask for a hedge of protection around our church. Protect us from evil or any worldly influence that hinders our work.
- “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…”
2 Chron. 20:15 & 17 - The prayer point came from Mr. Wayne…just want to share the verse God gave me this morning… “Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes.” I Sam 12.16 Compare that to the 2 Chron verse…hmmmm. What do you think God is trying to say???
