Every church has its own identity
While we embrace any church that believes the Bible and declares that “Jesus is Lord!”, each church has its own style, ministries, focus, and structure. This section will explain who we are, what we believe and what we value. We hope to give you an understanding of what Families of Faith is all about.
Families of Faith is a Biblically based church, seeking God’s will through worship and prayer. We boldly proclaim the Gospel to everyone. Our commitment is to help each member have a personal, growing relationship that experiences God. We are committed to work, encourage and strengthen one another, as we stand together, accountable to God. We are a family that loves God and His people!
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are motivated to be obedient to God. By equipping ourselves to serve Christ, as well as others, we provide teaching, fellowship and ministries to meet the needs of families in our community. Through love, compassion, and awareness towards all, we work to create an atmosphere of acceptance while compassionately extending God’s grace, as we share Christ’s love with those who do not know Him.
The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, fully complete and without error. We believe that the Bible contains all that is necessary to lead people to a knowledge of salvation and to live a righteous life. We believe it to be the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and Christian living.
Jesus is the divine Son of God, the only sacrifice for our sin and our guarantee of God’s never-changing love for us. We believe that He died, rose again and is now seated at the right hand of God. We believe that one day He will literally return to the earth to receive all those who have believed in Him.
People are eternal beings and will spend the rest of eternity after their life on earth either with God in eternal happiness (heaven) or without God in eternal sorrow (hell). We believe that through faith in Jesus, we are granted an eternity with God in heaven.
God, the Father, still speaks to His children today through His Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will always agree with God’s Word. We believe that the Holy Spirit uses the recorded truths in the Bible to speak to the hearts of God’s children in order to lead them into the will of God for their lives.
The word “church” originally meant “gathering”. We believe that the church is not a building or a denomination but rather the believers themselves who make up the church.
